Paul Beasinger – A graduate of Michigan State University, Paul’s background includes 25 years of law enforcement experience and almost three decades of experience in training and martial arts. Paul developed and oversaw the Training Division of one of Michigan’s largest agencies before he retired at the rank of lieutenant from the Lansing (MI) Police Department.
Paul is the owner of Keene Training and Consulting L.L.C. The mission of Keene is to provide its clients with the skills to be successful during critical incidents.
• Keene’s consulting services help businesses and individuals alike assess their vulnerabilities and plan for potential threats. Included in these services are site assessments, workplace violence training, tabletop exercises, communication and de-escalation strategies, workplace harassment and Title VII issues, leadership training and Violent Patient Management (VPM) for those in the health care fields.
• Keene’s hands-on training courses center around current use of force concepts, personal safety skills, unarmed combatives, firearms, concealed weapons training and specialized tactics.
Paul is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the use-of-force and holds the title of Advanced Specialist from the Force Science™ Institute. In addition to training thousands of civilians, police recruits and law enforcement officers, Paul has investigated over 1200 use of force incidents.
Steven Kinsey -Steven is a retired Senior Federal Air Marshal (FAM), who has served within the U.S. Government for over thirty years in various Military and Law Enforcement capacities. Steve began his employment with the FAM Service in the wake of September 11th, 2001, where he was assigned to mission operational aviation counter-terrorism duties, world-wide.
During Steve’s government career, he has served as a Firearms Instructor and Training Coordinator at both the Field Office and National Academy level. Steve is currently providing adjunct instructor duties for Keene Training and Consulting, with a primary focus on firearms and concealed carry curriculum development and instruction.
